Launchables!
When I left CNET in April, my plan was to work on a bunch of projects with a bunch of different people so that I could launch a new project roughly every month and have lots of fun and work on a variety of different things and learn about stuff. Last month, Neal Pollack, Matthew Tobey and I launched Offsprung, a humor magazine for alternaparents. This month, we’ll be launching more cool stuff on Offsprung that I am really excited about. I would link to a screenshot or something, but I think I’ll just make you wait. People are always emailing me, asking me for screenshots of my new projects. I secretly think they are using them for sinister sexual purposes. I know for a fact that several of my friends living on the bleeding edge totally wank to changelogs.
Don’t ask what they do with podcasts. I’m looking at you, Tantek.
THIS month, my official launch announcement is the Readymade Magazine Print Archives, OMG. Almost a year in the batch processing of text files, the print archive includes every single article from every single issue of Readymade ever pressed onto a dead tree. You can search for things, and then find things like Neal’s article about circumcision, or Caterina Fake’s article about blogging, or if you are one of those crafty hipsters, actually learn how to make something. And it’s all free, as in in exchange for your email address. Seems like a fair trade to me!
Do your worst, pervert.
