iPhone Therefore I Am
Because I am cannot resist a shiny new user interface, I rushed out on Friday evening to buy myself an Apple iPhone. Duh. It is teh awesome, except for how shitty the mail client is, please Google release a Gmail app ASAP, ok, thanks.
I immediately rushed home and ported do.Oh, my todo list application / zany poll, so that it works on the iPhone and looks like an iPhone app. The philosophy behind do.Oh is very Yoda - it is a list of things that you have to do. There is no scheduling, or priorities. Just a list. Learn to finish your list every day.
It does have some fun other features, but I’ll let you find them by yourself, because you are smart.
And now you can finish your list via your iPhone! BECAUSE EVERYTHING MUST BE A WIDGET.
Then, late last night, I was complaining to Katie that even though this device is amazing, I still felt like it wasn’t tied in tightly enough with what I am doing on my laptop, or any of my other screens.
“See,” I said, “I am looking up a map to the restaurant here on my laptop, but then when I walk away, I lose it, or have to look it up all over again. I wish it would just APPEAR MAGICALLY on my phone!”
“Build it,” said Katie, “and they will come.”
So I built that too. I couldn’t think of a clever name, so I just called it SaveToPhone. Maybe you can suggest a better one.
Enjoy!
